Terms of Sale and Booking Conditions

Please review our policies carefully to ensure a smooth and secure experience with Vimy House.

Scope & Application

Bookings & Payments

All activities must be reserved in advance and confirmed by email. Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are quoted in euros and include applicable taxes.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing ( email: hellobonjour@vimyhouse.fr ).
  • Cancel up to 14 days before the tour → full refund (minus any non-refundable research fees, if applicable).
  • Cancel between 7 and 14 days before → 50% refund.
  • Cancel less than 7 days before or no-show → no refund. If Vimy House must cancel for reasons beyond its control (weather, vehicle breakdown, force majeure), guests will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date.
  • Right of Withdrawal (Consumer Code)
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure activities provided on a specific date or within a specific period.

Weather & Open-Air Conditions Policy

All of our tours take place outdoors and depend on weather conditions. Vimy House reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel a tour if weather conditions make the experience unsafe or uncomfortable (heavy rain, strong wind, extreme heat, storms).

Walking & E-Bike Tours: Operate in light rain. In case of heavy rain, strong wind, or unsafe visibility, Vimy House may shorten, adapt, or reschedule the tour.

Car Tours & Remembrance Rides in Citronette: Remembrance Rides in Citronette are offered only in suitable weather and at the discretion of the guide. If weather prevents operation of Citronette, the tour will be conducted in a private car instead. If rescheduling is not possible — particularly for visitors travelling from abroad — a full refund will be provided.

Safety & Participant Responsibility

Participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times and behave responsibly.

  • E-bike riders must be at least 14 years old and in good physical condition, not weigh more than 120kg including backpacks and be at least 1m55 tall.
  • Helmet use is mandatory; helmets are provided.
Some routes use public roads shared with vehicles. Riders must observe French road rules and remain vigilant.
  • Participants join at their own risk; Vimy House accepts no liability for injuries arising from disregard of safety instructions.

Participants who choose to use their own bicycle during tours organized by SARL Vimy House expressly acknowledge that they do so entirely at their own risk.

They confirm that their bicycle is in good mechanical condition, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable regulations.

SARL Vimy House shall not be held liable for any material damage, accident, loss, theft, or personal injury arising from the use of a participant’s own bicycle, whether occurring during or outside the guided tour.

Participants agree to comply with all road safety rules and the instructions provided by the guide.

They acknowledge that they remain fully responsible for their own safety and property at all times.

Accessibility

Citronette is a vintage open-air Méhari requiring passengers to climb in and out independently. This experience may not be suitable for all guests. Alternative car tours are available for those requiring easier access.

Insurance

All tours include professional liability insurance as required by French law. Guests are encouraged to hold personal travel and medical insurance covering outdoor and guided activities.
