Please review our policies carefully to ensure a smooth and secure experience with Vimy House.
Scope & Application
Bookings & Payments
All activities must be reserved in advance and confirmed by email. Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are quoted in euros and include applicable taxes.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made in writing ( email: hellobonjour@vimyhouse.fr ).
- Cancel up to 14 days before the tour → full refund (minus any non-refundable research fees, if applicable).
- Cancel between 7 and 14 days before → 50% refund.
- Cancel less than 7 days before or no-show → no refund. If Vimy House must cancel for reasons beyond its control (weather, vehicle breakdown, force majeure), guests will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date.
- Right of Withdrawal (Consumer Code)
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure activities provided on a specific date or within a specific period.
Weather & Open-Air Conditions Policy
All of our tours take place outdoors and depend on weather conditions. Vimy House reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel a tour if weather conditions make the experience unsafe or uncomfortable (heavy rain, strong wind, extreme heat, storms).
Walking & E-Bike Tours: Operate in light rain. In case of heavy rain, strong wind, or unsafe visibility, Vimy House may shorten, adapt, or reschedule the tour.
Car Tours & Remembrance Rides in Citronette: Remembrance Rides in Citronette are offered only in suitable weather and at the discretion of the guide. If weather prevents operation of Citronette, the tour will be conducted in a private car instead. If rescheduling is not possible — particularly for visitors travelling from abroad — a full refund will be provided.
Safety & Participant Responsibility
Participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times and behave responsibly.
- E-bike riders must be at least 14 years old and in good physical condition, not weigh more than 120kg including backpacks and be at least 1m55 tall.
- Helmet use is mandatory; helmets are provided.
Some routes use public roads shared with vehicles. Riders must observe French road rules and remain vigilant. - Participants join at their own risk; Vimy House accepts no liability for injuries arising from disregard of safety instructions.
Participants who choose to use their own bicycle during tours organized by SARL Vimy House expressly acknowledge that they do so entirely at their own risk.
They confirm that their bicycle is in good mechanical condition, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable regulations.
SARL Vimy House shall not be held liable for any material damage, accident, loss, theft, or personal injury arising from the use of a participant’s own bicycle, whether occurring during or outside the guided tour.
Participants agree to comply with all road safety rules and the instructions provided by the guide.
They acknowledge that they remain fully responsible for their own safety and property at all times.
Accessibility
Citronette is a vintage open-air Méhari requiring passengers to climb in and out independently. This experience may not be suitable for all guests. Alternative car tours are available for those requiring easier access.
Insurance
All tours include professional liability insurance as required by French law. Guests are encouraged to hold personal travel and medical insurance covering outdoor and guided activities.

Privacy Policy (GDPR) & Cookies
SARL Vimy House complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. Personal data collected through forms (contact, booking), analytics, or other interactions is processed on the basis of (i) contract performance, (ii) legitimate interests (client relationship, security), or (iii) consent (marketing).
Purposes: handling enquiries and bookings, delivering services, invoicing, fraud prevention, audience measurement, and communication/marketing where consent is given.
Retention: (i) contact/client data: during the contractual relationship then 3 years from the last contact; (ii) invoicing data: 10 years; (iii) cookies: depending on type, up to 13 months.

Cookies & trackers: on first visit, a banner allows you to accept, refuse, or customize non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics, marketing). You can change your preferences at any time.
Processors & transfers: technical providers (hosting, analytics, emailing) may process certain data. Where transfers occur outside the EU/EEA, they are governed by recognized safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
Terms & Conditions of Sale (T&Cs)
Scope: These T&Cs govern the sale of services by SARL Vimy House (guided tours, cultural experiences, event services).
Orders & payment: prices are in euros and include applicable taxes where relevant. Bookings become firm upon email confirmation and payment in accordance with the terms provided at checkout. Accepted payment methods are communicated at the time of booking.
Cancellation / changes: requests must be made in writing. Applicable cancellation terms and fees are specified at the time of booking. If we cancel (e.g., force majeure, safety), a postponement or refund will be offered.
Liability: SARL Vimy House uses reasonable care and skill to deliver services. Vimy House shall not be liable where failure is due to the client, an unforeseeable and unavoidable act of a third party, or force majeure.
Insurance: SARL Vimy House holds professional liability insurance with an insurer authorized in France.
Safety & conduct: the client confirms that their physical condition is compatible with the chosen activity and agrees to follow all safety instructions.
Image Rights
Photographs and/or videos may be taken during activities for information and communication purposes. Participants who do not wish to appear may notify Vimy House in writing before or during the event.
Consumer Mediation
In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute, the client may refer the matter free of charge to the Médiateur du Tourisme et du Voyage: MTV Médiation Tourisme Voyage, BP 80 303 – 75823 Paris Cedex 17, France – www.mtv.travel.
Accessibility – Language

Governing Law – Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the competent French courts shall have jurisdiction, in accordance with applicable consumer protection rules.
