Vimy Walking Tours
Stories of art, courage, and memorial art
told where history still breathes through the ground.
Step Into Remembrance
Walking through Vimy is one of the most powerful ways to understand this landscape of memory.
Our guided walking experiences invite you to slow down and explore the ridge with intention — following paths that wind through preserved battlefields, quiet cemeteries, and the powerful presence of the Canadian National Vimy Memorial.
As you walk, the story of the Battle of Vimy Ridge unfolds through the landscape itself: the terrain that shaped the battle, the memorials that honour sacrifice, and the living forest that now grows over ground once torn by war.
These experiences are designed not simply to inform, but to help visitors connect — intellectually, emotionally, and personally — with one of the most meaningful places in Canadian history.
Choose the experience that suits your visit:
• Vimy Voices — a private in-depth exploration of the battlefield (2.5–3 hours)
• Vimy Revealed — a focused one-hour Sunday morning visit to the memorial
Vimy Voices: A Private Walk through the Vimy battlefield
This private guided walk offers an in-depth exploration of the Vimy battlefield through landscape interpretation, historical context, and personal stories.
Over approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, you will walk about 4 kilometres, visiting key sites including the Canadian National Vimy Memorial and nearby Canadian cemeteries. Along the way, the story of the battle unfolds through the ground itself — the terrain that shaped the attack, the memorials that honour those who fell, and the forest that now covers a once-shattered battlefield.
For those wishing to go further, an optional one-hour forest walk (2 km) reveals a quieter and lesser-known side of the ridge, where shell craters, preserved trenches, and hidden wartime traces remain beneath the trees.
The pace is relaxed and reflective, making the walk accessible to most visitors.
